About

Connor Hamilton is a St. Louis-area professional photographer covering motorsports, music, professional sports, live events and editorial assignments.

He produces decisive action, human moments and environmental photographs that help publications, teams, venues, brands and organizations communicate what happened and why it mattered.

Paying attention to what others might miss.

Photography keeps me engaged with what is happening in front of me. I enjoy the challenge of anticipating a moment and being ready when it unfolds—whether it is decisive action, a reaction away from the main event or a detail that gives the scene context. I want the finished photographs to help someone understand not only what happened, but what it felt like to be there.

Prepared for the assignment and the moments around it.

I bring preparation, clear communication and respect for the working environment to every assignment. I focus on delivering the required images while also looking for the people, details and surrounding moments that give a story depth. The result is a consistent, useful set of photographs built around the publication’s or organization’s needs.

Professional experience

Built in serious environments.

Connor has completed freelance assignments for the Associated Press covering NASCAR, professional hockey and soccer; NHL assignments for IMAGN; and an ESPN Images assignment covering the XFL Championship.

His photography has also appeared in editorial coverage and distribution through Getty Images / NHLI, the USA Today network, ESPN, NHL.com and the St. Louis Blues. His broader motorsports experience includes dirt-track racing, NASCAR and IndyCar.

That experience supports an approach grounded in editorial judgment, reliable delivery and respect for the people and organizations being covered.
